The video “Cumbre Vieja – The Fire From Within”, resulting from the Algarve Bruno Gonçalves' trip to La Palma to photograph the volcano eruption, won the award for best “Timelapse Tourism Film” at the Finisterra Brazil Film Art & Tourism Festival.
This was the third time this video was awarded at film festivals.
Using the technique timelapse, this video also won the “Best Timelapse Film” awards at the Barcelona Planet Film Festival, “Best Short Documentary” at the Solidarity Festival All Con La Palma, having also been a finalist in the Oniros Film Awards Festival, New York.
This video resulted from a small part of the 19 thousand photographs taken in timelapse sequences by Bruno Gonçalves on a trip to La Palma, in the Canaries, accompanied by a friend, to photograph the eruption of the volcano Cumbre Vieja.
