Loulé: interMEDio and Som Riscado are finalists at the Iberian Festival Awards

Winners are known on March 26

The Loulé festivals interMEDio, in three categories, and Som Riscado, in one category, are finalists in the 2022 edition of the Iberian Festival Awards, which reward «the best that is done in terms of festivals in the Iberian Peninsula.

Best Communication and Marketing Strategy, Best Lusophone and Hispanic Festival and Best Performance (with the concert by Virgin Suta) are the categories in which interMEDio competes for a victory in the awards promoted by APORFEST.

At its side, in the dispute for the final prize, there will be events such as the Boreal Festival, Iconic Sevilla Festival or Bime Live, from Spain, and on the Portuguese side, the Sintra Music Festival, Brunch Electronik Weekender Lisbon or Operafest Lisbon.

The “newcomer” Som Riscado is part of the list of finalists competing for Best Space, namely Cineteatro Louletano, the concert hall where most of the festival’s program dedicated to sound, image and innovative projects in the area of ​​experimental music took place. . Finalists in this category are also the Bilbao Arena de Miribilla in Bilbao or the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, in neighboring Spain, and on the Portuguese side, spaces such as the Monastery of Batalha or the Teatro Garcia de Resende.

The final Gala of the 6th edition of the Iberian Festival Awards will take place on March 26, at 20:00 pm, at the Lispolis Auditorium, in Lisbon.

The Iberian Festival Awards are the only Iberian recognition dedicated to festivals, «being an important reference in the evolution of the sector. This event is dedicated to promoting, valuing and celebrating all professionals, partners and artists responsible
for its development, growth and improvement», explains the Câmara de Loulé.
