A man, defined by the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) as an “Indostanic citizen”, owner of a fictitious temporary work company, was accused this Thursday in Albufeira, announced the SEF.

According to the SEF, a man and a company (also the defendant), «in exchange for large sums», dealt with the «legalization of more than 300 foreign citizens, the vast majority are not even in national territory».

The SEF today carried out, in Albufeira, two search and seizure warrants, one at home and the other at a commercial establishment, as part of an investigation started in 2020, for the crime of aiding illegal immigration.

In the searches, around five thousand euros in cash, three mobile phones, three laptops and various documentation were seized in order to corroborate criminal evidence under investigation.
