There are four Algarve festivals nominated for the Iberian Festival Awards

Voting runs until 31 January

InterMEDio and Som Riscado, in Loulé, and the Harp Festivals in the Algarve and the Sacred Music Festival in Lagoa are nominated for the Iberian Festival Awards, whose prizes will be delivered on March 26, in Lisbon.

These four events are named in the Best Festival category. The distinction for Best New Festival only includes the Algarve Harpa Festival and the Lagoa Sacred Music Festival.

In the categories for the best indoor event (indoor) and for the best cultural program, there are the same three initiatives: Som Riscado, Algarve Harpa Festival and Sacred Music Festival.

For “Best Communication and Marketing Strategy” and “Best Lusophone and Hispanic Festival” only interMEDio was named, an event that wanted to bring the possible environment of MED, in times of pandemic, to Loulé.

In the category of “Best Contribution to Sustainability” are the Harp and Sacred Music Festivals.

Where there are more nominations in the Algarve is for the “Best Live Performance” award.

This list includes Carla Pontes (Sacred Music Festival), Helena Madeira (Harp Festival), Miramar – Frankie Chávez and Peixe (Risked Sound), Quinta do Bill (interMEDio), Virgin Suta (interMEDio) and Tristany&Prétu (interMEDio).

The Iberian Festival Awards, promoted by APORFEST – Portuguese Association of Music Festivals, are the only Iberian recognition dedicated to festivals.

The Iberian Festival Awards Gala will take place on the 26th of March, at the Lispolis Auditorium, in Lisbon, and will culminate with the awarding of prizes in its 22 categories.

Voting runs until January 31 on the Aporfest platform here
