Dozens of schools in the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo will be open from the 27th to the 30th of December and from the 3rd to the 7th of January, «to respond to children or other dependents of essential workers and to children and young people identified by the CPCJ, as well as for the provision of meals to students benefiting from the Escola Social Action or who need this support», announced the Government.
“Schools are thus once again an example in the social response given in times of pandemic, the Ministry of Education saluting the high professionalism and sense of mission of teachers and non-teachers who, with their work, make the school the guarantor of an unequivocal support to all students and families in situations of vulnerability or who need it during this period," he added.
