Nearly 45 people received Covid-19 vaccine boosters this weekend

At least 44 booster doses of the Covid-700 vaccine were administered

Almost 45 thousand people, aged 65 years and over, received, between yesterday and today, the 13th and 14th of November, the booster dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 in Portugal, with the country having more than half a million doses already administered.

«In order to speed up the vaccination process, the country's Vaccination Centers were open over the weekend, with a greater turnout being recorded on Saturday», begins by saying the General Directorate of Health, in a note sent to the newsrooms.

Over the two days, at least 68.700 flu vaccines and 44.700 booster doses of Covid-19 vaccine were given to clients aged 65 and over.

The “open house” modality, for people aged 80 or over, will be maintained during the week, but before going to the Vaccination Center in their area of ​​residence, people should consult the respective opening hours.

In addition to this modality, "local scheduling is also available for eligible users, with priority being given to older people and gradually covering younger age groups, until reaching 65".

The call for taking the flu vaccine and Covid-19 at the same time, or just for the flu vaccine, continues to be made via SMS.

DGS also recalls that the self-schedule of vaccines for people aged 70 and over.
