MotoGP, golf, Zambujo and Pedro Abrunhosa: so much to see in November in the Algarve

Portuguese Masters, MotoGP, hiking and music with António Zambujo and Pedro Abrunhosa. Throughout November, the Algarve has «dozens of suggestions that promise to warm the autumn days». 

Sport is the biggest highlight of the month. From the 4th to the 7th of November, at the Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, in Vilamoura, the 15th edition of the Portugal Masters will take place, a golf tournament that integrates the PGA European circuit.

At the same time, from 5 to 7, the MotoGP Algarve Grand Prix 2021 returns to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão, one of the biggest motorcycling events in the world that will speed up emotions in the already known worldwide “Mountain-Russa Algarvia” .

From the 5th to the 7th of November, the 4th edition of Walk & Art Fest, in the village of Barão de São João, in Lagos. For three days, nature lovers can enjoy daily walks, environmental education activities, technical workshops and lectures.

In the musical panorama, António Zambujo will perform on the 6th at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, at 21 pm. One of the greatest contemporary artists, authors and interpreters of Portuguese music and language, Zambujo takes the stage to the sound of 'Lote B', the most intimate album of his discography.

Prepared to once again embrace the roads and the great stages, Pedro Abrunhosa invites the Caviar Committee and leaves for another tour, stopping in Olhão on the 26th, at 21 pm, at the Municipal Auditorium. Days later (on the 30th, at 30 pm), the Cineteatro Louletano receives Cuca Roseta, one of the biggest names in fado today. And in Silves, on the 21th, at 00 pm, it's Lado B's turn with Tim, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório.

The Orquestra Clássica do Sul performs in various locations throughout the month: Faro (5th and 26th), Lagoa (13th), Castro Marim (19th), Tavira (20th) and Fuzeta (27th). The Associação Música XXI organizes another edition of the Algarve Organ Festival, from the 5th to the 28th of November in the Churches of Faro, Portimão, Tavira and Loulé (Boliqueime).

There is also a show for the little ones: the Serena Serenata da Ópera ISTO, which will bring together a balcony, a twisted neck and ears with a heart on the 14th, at 11:30 am, at Teatro das Figuras de Faro.

And now big news. With the purpose of opening new paths and networks between artists, entities and the public, the last weekend of November (from 26 to 28) takes place the 1st edition of MOMI – International Physical Theater Festival – Algarve. Organized by JAT – Janela Aberta Teatro, this unique festival in the region includes workshops, performances and physical theater, mime, pantomime, mask, theater, dance, circus and features renowned artists and companies on various stages in the city of Faro.

One of the highlights is also the Sweet Potato Festival of Aljezur, which returns in person from 26th to 28th November, being one of the biggest autumn gastronomic festivals in the south of the country. In Portimão, it is the São Martinho Fair that will warm the bellies from the 5th to the 14th of November.

This month there are still other options for those who want to occupy their free time. Just consult the entire schedule in Guia Algarve, a bilingual publication (Portuguese and English) aimed at residents and tourists. It has a circulation of 35 thousand copies and free distribution in hotels, travel agencies, tourist offices, airport of Faro, rent-a-cars and golf courses in the region.
