BTT Loulé/Elevis won 12 individual medals and the title for teams in H50, in the National Championships of long and medium distance in Off-Road Bike Orienteering (OriBTT) that took place this weekend, on November 13th and 14th, in Santiago do Cacém.

The competitions were organized by the Clube de Oriente and Aventura do Litoral Alentejano (COALA), with the “V Costa Alentejana MTBO Trophy” being held in parallel.

The MTB Loulé/Elevis was represented by a mixed team of 11 athletes, divided into the levels of D15, D17, H17, D Elites, H40 and H50, in a competition that was attended by 106 participants.

The long distance of the race took place on Saturday, November 13th, in an area with loose sand, which «has made progress difficult and required extra attention to avoid falls», says Clube BTT Terra de Loulé.

The average distance took place on Sunday, the 14th, on a route with more climbs in which the athletes' physical condition ended up making the difference.

The athletes of BTT Loulé/Elevis «achieved good results, highlighting the victories in long distance in D15, D Elites and H50, by Bia Correia, Marisa Costa and Duarte Palma, and in middle distance, in D15, H17, D Elites, D40 and H50, by Bia Correia, Artur Mendonça, Marisa Costa, Rita Gomes and Duarte Palma.
