1st phase of “Algarve + Sustainable” ends with a debate at Praia da Amoreira

In March 2022, “Algarve + Sustainable” returns to its second phase

The closing debate of the 1st phase of "Algarve + Sustainable" takes place this Friday, November 26, from 10:00 am, at Praia da Amoreira, next to the restaurant “A Taberna do Gabriel”, in Aljezur. 

This debate will be focused on the Tourism + Sustainable Plan of Turismo de Portugal, which will address the first two axes of this plan: “How to structure an increasingly sustainable offer” and “How to qualify the sector's agents”.

"The day will be entirely dedicated to reflection and discussion, with interventions by representatives of the main public and private entities involved in the creation of differentiating proposals for the promotion of places and activities and for the implementation of good practices that correspond to international standards of sustainable tourism" , says the organization.

All participants in the debate will have a free lunch at the restaurant “A Taberna do Gabriel” where they will be able to establish a more informal contact and have a moment of socializing.

The debate will be opened by José Gonçalves, mayor of Aljezur, Aura Fraga, president of the Vicentina Association, João Fernandes, president of the Algarve Tourism Region, and Joaquim Brandão Pires, first secretary of the Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve (AMAL) .

The debate will be moderated by Professor Manuela Rosa from the University of Algarve. The work will be closed by José Apolinário, president of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission.
