Renato Silva (Team BMX Quarteira) wins the Portuguese Cup “at home”

Still at cadet age, Renato Silva was the most regular in the set of eight scoring events for the Portuguese Cup in the upper category

Renato Silva (Team BMX Quarteira) is the winner of the 2021 edition of the Cup of Portugal BMX Race in the elite category, after imposing himself in the last two races, played this weekend, in Quarteira.

Still at cadet age, Renato Silva was the most regular in the set of eight scoring events for the Portuguese Cup in the upper category.

He finished the season with 90 points, 30 more than the second placed overall, Miguel Gaboleiro (BMX Águas de S. Gabriel Best Point). The third overall in the Cup was André Ribeiro (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/Knowledge Inside), with 34 less than the winner of the trophy.

Rita Xufre (Setúbal Bicross Nucleus/Knowledge Inside) won the Quarteira stages among women over 15 years old. With this performance he confirmed the victory in the Portuguese Cup, with 82 points.

The second place overall and in the races this weekend was Matilde Melo (Linda-a-Pastora Sporting Clube), with a total of 54 points. The overall podium closed with Catarina Veríssimo (Team BMX Quarteira), with 25 points.

In the male cadets, he was also the runner who imposed himself in the two rounds of Quarteira that won the Cup of Portugal in the respective category. In this case, the absolute winner was Bernardo Rocha (AEBTT Rio/Mr. Print), who finished the season with 119 points, followed overall by two cyclists from the BMX Águas de S. Gabriel Best Point team, Rodrigo Campino, second, and Edi Barred, third.

The winners of the Portuguese Cup in juveniles were André Ribeiro (CBP-Clube Bicross de Portimão) and Leonor Carvalho (Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/Knowledge Inside).

Carlos Rosado (CBP-Clube Bicross de Portimão) has established himself in masters, while in the cruisers beat Fábio Jorge (Casa Myze Team), in the 30-39 class, and Paulo Domingues, in over 40s.

The Portuguese Cup by teams was won by CBP-Clube Bicross de Portimão, with 172 points, 24 more than the Núcleo Bicross de Setúbal/Knowledge Inside and 57 more than Team BMX Quarteira, who completed the collective podium.
