The Ocean restaurant, in Lagoa, was awarded the prize Global Overall Restaurant of the Year 2021 in this year's edition of World Luxury Awards, after having already been awarded two Michelin Stars in previous years, with the municipality of Lagoa having already congratulated Vila Vita Parc for the distinctions.
Distinguished as “Platinum Fork” for Boa Cama Boa Mesa, the Ocean restaurant, located in Vila Vita Parc, in Alporchinhos (Lagoa) also received the trophy of Best Locally Sourced Produce Menu.
The municipality of Lagoa considers that this «is another moment that places the municipality at the top of the world and contributes to the excellent tourism it has to offer throughout the year».
«It is a great pride for all Lagoans to see one of our restaurants awarded as the best in the world and it is, equally, a great incentive for all of us, mayors, companies, individual entrepreneurs, to continue working, always seeking to do more and better», considers Luís Encarnação, Mayor of Lagoa.
Created in 2015, these awards “are intended to praise the international luxury restaurant industry, with the result achieved by voting by guests, travelers and industry participants, in a total of more than 100 who vote each year, over a period of four weeks, to select the winners», explains the municipality.
