São Brás awards prizes to the best students in the municipality

Ceremony took place this Tuesday, September 7th

The municipality of São Brás de Alportel awarded the “Best Students in the municipality – 2020/21” awards to the best final year students of the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic and secondary education, in a ceremony that took place this Tuesday, September 7th.

The young Diogo Rodrigues and Lara Serra received the “Best Finalist Student” award from the 2nd cycle of basic education., of the 6th year of schooling.

Matilde Serra and Rodrigo Martins, students who completed the 9th year of schooling, received the “Best Finalist Student” award from the 3rd cycle of basic education.

The “Best Finalist Student” award in secondary education was awarded to João Ferreira and Beatriz Martins, at the conclusion of the 12th year of schooling.

 

 

For the second year in a row, due to the constraints caused by the pandemic, São Brás de Alportel considered "the security conditions for the usual cultural trip that the municipality offers annually to distinguished students are not met", says the municipality in a press release .

To the usual diploma, the municipality adds a FNAC gift voucher, worth 400 euros, «which can be a good help in the acquisition of useful equipment for the continuation of your studies».

The attribution of the “Best Student Awards” is an initiative of the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, with the collaboration of the José Belchior Viegas School Group, in order to «recognise the effort and school performance of students and encourage all students in the municipality to adopt study and work habits that allow them to achieve their goals and dreams», concludes the municipality.
