“O Palco é Teu” is back this Thursday, September 16, at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, after a short summer break.
This is the return of “open call“ launched in the first half of January, and which had 45 applications, including individual artists and bands, of which 33 groups and six solo performers were admitted.
Al-gharband + Dj Nelson Vaz kick off the second phase of this project, «which was carried over from Wednesdays to Thursdays, keeping the timetable at 19 pm, and which will run until the end of November», explains the Portimão municipality.
On the stage of the Small Auditorium of Teatro Municipal de Portimão, Bandamecos and Modinhas Humanas will also perform on the 23rd of September, Duo Caltrava and Simple Song Band on the 7th of October, Adriana Marques and Brasa Doirada on the 14th, and Sticky Fingers Duo, Your Glam Band and Carlos Peregrino on the 28th.
In November, Black Puzzle and DJ Naresk will go on stage on the 4th, Teresa Viola and Edmundo Vieira on the 11th, Volume 2 and Ritmo Jovem on the 18th and Gilettes d'Aço and HajaSaude on the 25th.
"The performances of Sticky Fingers Duo and Teresa Viola were initially scheduled for the first phase, but have since been canceled due to periods of prophylactic isolation of the artists", says the municipality.
The shows will take place live, with free entry but subject to room capacity, reduced in accordance with the norms of the General Directorate of Health.
Invitations can be collected on the day before the concert takes place, at the TEMPO box office, between 13:00 and 18:00.
The municipality of Portimão recalls that “the main mission of the initiative is to provide financial support to the municipality's artists whose activity was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, with financial aid of 500 euros for each individual artist and one thousand euros for each band having been provided. ».
