Trainers from the Portimão School of Hotel and Tourism nominated at the Hospitality Education Awards

Voting for the Best Young Career category runs until September 15th

The trainers Daniela Silvestre and João Freitas, from the Hotel and Tourism School of Portimão, are nominated for the Best Young Career category of the awards Hospitality Education Awards. Voting runs until the 15th of September and the winners will be announced on the 27th.

This award aims to «distinguish the career of a young professional in the areas of tourism and hospitality, up to the age of 35, taking into account their professional career», begins by saying the Hotel and Tourism School of Portimão.

Daniela Silvestre is a Specialized Technician in the area of ​​Management and Restaurants and Beverages at the Hotel and Tourism School of Portimão.

With a degree in Management and a Master's Degree in Management and Hotel Management at the University of Algarve, in addition to being nominated in the category of “Best Young Career”, Daniela Silvestre is also nominated for the category “Best Teaching Career in Professional Education”.

João Freitas collaborates with EHT Portimão in training online promoted through the Digital Academy of Tourism of Portugal (BEST Programs, Upgrade Digital and Certified Executive Training). He has a degree in Economics and a Masters in Strategy and Entrepreneurship.

He is currently the director of Growth & PartnershipsAt Host Hotel Systems, trainer of Digital Marketing at Turismo de Portugal and at the Association of Hotel Directors of Portugal.

The purpose of the awards Hospitality Education Awards it is “to contribute to the dignification of professions in the tourism sector and to stimulate the improvement of training quality, in order to respond to the needs of national companies”, stresses EHT Portimão.
