Farense plays against Benfica B at Estádio Algarve due to the poor condition of the pitch in S. Luís

The recent ban at the Estádio de São Luís forces Farense to play in another venue

The match between Farense and Benfica B, on September 19, counting for the 6th round of the II Football League, will be played at Estádio Algarve, announced the League, due to the poor condition of the pitch at São Luís.

The recent ban at the Estádio de São Luís forces Farense to play in another venue.

"This change comes as a result of the second negative note that the pitch of the Estádio de São Luís received, on the 30th of August, after an inspection carried out by the Technical Committee of Liga Portugal, thus being banned from any type of sporting activity", says the Liga, in a statement released this Wednesday, September 8th.

According to this entity, Farense is "making the necessary changes in order to comply with the Competition Licensing Manual for the 2021-22 season".

The Algarve team is in 16th place in the II Liga, with three defeats and one draw.

The bad start to the season has already led to the dismissal of Jorge Costa, being Fanan the new coach.
