The GNR recorded 143 accidents in the Algarve, between the 29th of April and the 5th of May, which resulted in three serious injuries and 22 minor injuries.
According to operational data released this Monday, May 6, 402 infractions were also detected during this period, highlighting 120 for speeding, 40 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 29 related to anomalies in the lighting and signaling systems, 13 for lack of civil liability insurance, 12 for lack of or incorrect use of the seat belt and/or restraint system for children and 11 for improper use of the cell phone while driving.
Between April 29th and May 5th there were 50 arrests, with GNR highlighting 19 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 10 for driving without a legal license and five for drug trafficking.
were also seized 56 doses of cocaine, 46 doses of hashish and an extendable baton.
