The Ser Albufeira coalition (PSD/CDS-PP/MPT/PPM), which supports the re-candidacy of José Carlos Rolo for the presidency of the Chamber, presented on Friday, in Paderne, an electoral program «whose ultimate goal is to make Albufeira the best place in the world to live».
In all, the program foresees "more than 100 projects" in the areas of health, education, social, sport, urban regeneration, tourism, culture, family, environment and entrepreneurship, according to the coalition.
Among the proposals is the construction of a "new generation Health Center", but also the requalification of health extensions in the municipality.
The structure that supports the current mayor's candidacy also promises "more than 375 new places for children and the elderly, in homes, day centers and day care centers and another 500 places in kindergartens", as well as "another 124 fires in the first phase of affordable rent, more dog parks, construction of a professional school, Living Science Clubs and Digital Education Laboratories».
To this are added «urban requalifications throughout the county», the expansion of the urban transport network, but parking and the elevation of Paderne to the Historic Village.
Other objectives of the bid include building a Fair and Exhibition Park, a Formula E rally circuit and a new barracks for the Volunteer Fire Brigade, in addition to nominating Albufeira for Resort Sport City 2023 and the European City of Sport.
