Base of Faro EasyJet will have one more plane and 30 new workers

EasyJet will put in a new plane on the basis of Faro next summer, creating 30 new jobs, announced this Tuesday, September 20, this airline. 

As a result, next summer, EasyJet will have four planes in Faro, bringing the Portuguese fleet to 13 planes, including five in Lisbon and four in Porto.

The airline will also add four new planes to its other seasonal bases in Spain: two in Malaga and two in Palma de Mallorca.

"This movement represents an increase of the EasyJet fleet by 70% at the bases in Portugal and Spain, compared to the pre-pandemic period, and in Portugal, in particular, it represents an increase of more than 60% since 2019", says the operator low cost carriers.

According to EasyJet, “increase base capacity in Faro strengthens its position in successful destinations in Southern Europe and places it as an option in Europe to reach these main destinations and allows to match peak demand with seasonal capacity».
