Algarve Football Association is raising sports material for children in São Tomé

Soccer cleats, between sizes 30 and 46, and shin pads are the material most lacking

The Algarve Football Association (AFA) is carrying out, until 21 October, a campaign to collect sports material for children in São Tomé and Príncipe.

AFA teamed up with Amwêlê – Volunteer and Entrepreneurship Association of Friends of São Tomé and Príncipe to carry out this initiative.

“One of the main objectives will be to contribute to the development of basic conditions so that children in that country, especially females, can practice sports”, explains the AFA.

All those who want to contribute to the cause will be able to donate sporting material at the AFA headquarters, in Faro, until the 21st of October, a week before Amwêlê representatives in the region make a trip to São Tomé and Príncipe to deliver the collected donations.

Soccer cleats, between sizes 30 and 46, and shin guards are the material most in need today, but "any type of equipment will be a huge help."
