Portimonense lost 0-1 to Paços de Ferreira, in the 4th round of the I League of football, played this Sunday, 29 August, in Portimão.

Without Beto in the starting 11, due to a disciplinary process, Paulo Sérgio bet on Renato Júnior for the attacking front.

The game started balanced, with chances for both sides. One of the main ones happened on the 27th minute in the goal of Paços.

Fernando Fonseca almost scored an own goal after a Fali Candé cross.

In discounts, Paços scored the goal. It all started with a bad kick from goalkeeper Samuel. The ball fell to Nuno Santos who isolated Douglas Tanque.

The spearhead fired counting and made the 0-1, at 45+1′.

In the second half, Paulo Sérgio bet everything in the search for the goal.

Portimonense was more attacking (although sometimes they didn't have much foresight) and could have tied at 75′, in a Candé move that passed close to the post.

In the final period, the Algarvians were close to the goal, but found a barrier in goalkeeper André Ferreira. At 90+2′, Aponza still scored with his head… but the move was disallowed for offside.

Portimonense has the same 6 points and occupies the 9th position of the I League. On the next journey, the Algarve will visit the Boavista site.
