The Espaço Cidadão de Loulé opens its doors this Thursday, 12 August, on Rua 1º de Dezembro, near the Municipal Market, to ensure a greater number of public services to the population and businesses.
It is a multi-service counter, where it will be possible to deal with matters such as the renewal of a driving license, the booking of appointments or the scheduling of vaccinations by Covid-19, the extension of the stay of foreign citizens in the country or the delivery of the IRS .
«This structure constitutes a complementary service offer to the digital provision of public services, guaranteeing their inclusive character, not seeking to replace them», says the Câmara de Loulé.
The aim is also to "promote the digital literacy of citizens through assisted digital assistance", he adds.
Located on Rua 1º de Dezembro, the Espaço Cidadão de Loulé offers around 70 services, mostly free, from 13 different entities: Authority for Working Conditions (ACT); Energy Agency (ADENE); General Directorate for Social Protection of Public Administration Employees and Agents (ADSE); Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA); Tax and Customs Authority (AT); General Retirement Fund (CGA); Directorate-General for Economic Activities (DGAE); Directorate-General for the Administration of Justice (DGAJ); Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP); Institute for Land Mobility (IMT); Social Security Institute (ISS); Ministry of Health Shared Services; Aliens and Borders Services (SEF).
"On the other hand, an important feature of this project is the promotion of the population's digital literacy, which is guaranteed through the very specific way of service - digitally assisted service - which seeks, in a pedagogical way, to empower the citizen to interact digitally with the public administration», states the municipality.
The Espaço Cidadão de Loulé will be open, at Loja do Munícipe, on weekdays from 9:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 16:30 pm. Interested parties can obtain more information by calling 289 400 840 and by e-mail [email protected]
This project is the result of a joint effort between the local administration and the central administration, in this case within the scope of a protocol signed between the Municipality of Loulé and the Agency for Administrative Modernization.
«This is another step towards administrative modernization and reducing bureaucracy of processes, making public services faster and closer to the citizen. Therefore, we believe it will be an asset for the city of Loulé, as is already happening with Quarteira. Almancil and Boliqueime will be the next places to have a branch that brings together all these services», announced the president Vítor Aleixo.
