“Bicho do Covil comes out in April” premieres today at Teatro das Figuras

This is a co-production with Teatro das Figuras and the municipality of Faro

The theater play “Bicho do Covil comes out in April” will premiere this Wednesday, August 25th, at 21 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro. This is the 15th production of the Algarve structure A Fera Teatro, in a co-production with the municipality of Faro, under the Emerging Cycle.

Inspired by the words of Mia Couto and cosmogonic texts, Tânia Silva reflects on «the beginning, the origin, the beginning of the beginnings, the creation of myths, the communion with nature, animals, life, the mysteries and challenges of life », says the company A Fera Teatro in a note sent to the newsrooms.

As the saying goes, “in April the animal comes out of the lair”, “and the animal left, it's there, it's here. Invisible but leaves a trail. Everyone expected the world to change! How are we going to live with this virus?”, asks the company.

This is a theater show performed by Tânia Silva, with video by Ana Brandão and music by Igor Martins.

Tickets cost five euros and are a spectacle for the general public.

“Bicho do Covil comes out in April” is the 15th production of the company A Fera Teatro, based in Faro, founded in November 2016 by several artists from Faro.

The vision «has as its vision culture and the development of human potential and develops projects in various artistic areas such as theatre, music, dance, multimedia and plastic arts», concludes the company.
