“Criações do Vento”, a set of musical shows with international artists residing in the municipality, will take place this weekend, 21st and 22nd August, at 17 pm (on both days), at Forte do Beliche, in Vila do Bishop.
The afternoon of August 21st will be animated by the concert “Pink of the Winds”, with the participation of Maja Raciborska (Poland), Don Munzer (Netherlands) and special guest Tineke Smit (Netherlands).
This concert “features musical and poetic works by the composer Don Munzer for the piano, accompanied by the transverse flute by Maja Raciborska. Don's music and poetry are the result of more than forty years lived in the municipality of Vila do Bispo and of his recent experience where he lost his house to fire», says the Vila do Bispo municipality in a note sent to the editorial offices.
«The past stories, future dreams and the incessant vitality of Don Munzar resonate in his melodies, as well as the compositions that illustrate the works of theater and popular tales will be part of this concert, which comes to us through the piano, accordion, flute and ukulele ».
For the 22nd, Maja Raciborska and her friends Anisha Walmsley (England), Gustavo Miranda (Argentina) and Jose Martin Toledo (Argentina), will present “Mar Aberto”, «a concert that invites you to discover and enjoy the music created by them musicians and artists», stresses the municipality.
Anisha Walmsley will sing some of her original songs, «and it's still possible to enjoy songs and melodies from Latin folk, romantic and full of emotion, offering a musical journey across the ocean, drawing with music a bridge between the two shores of the Atlantic , as well as between the past and the present».
The presentation of the young artists is a look at the Open Sea also in the symbolic sense, “an open and courageous look towards the future”, explains the municipality.
Admission to the shows is free, and it is necessary to purchase tickets in advance at the Treasury services of the Vila do Bispo Council, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 15:00 pm.
“Criações do Vento” is an initiative organized by the Municipality of Vila do Bispo, part of the program “Bezaranha – There are winds that come for good!”, financed by the Operational Program CRESC ALGARVE 2020 and FEDER- European Regional Development Fund.
