Albufeira “Smart City” allows you to report events, access urban transport and find out about beach occupancy

Two more features have now been added

The Albufeira Municipality's “Smart City” platform now has new applications available that allow access to information about urban transport, the occupation of beaches, as well as the municipality's portal. To access “Smart City” simply register on the platform by clicking here.

Available to the public since last May, after a year in the experience phase working only with the Incident Management application, the Smart City platform now has new applications available that allow access to information about GIRO's urban transport circuit, the occupation of the beaches, well
as to the Municipality website.

Residents and tourists can access information about the five lines of the urban transport circuit (green, blue, red, red 2 and orange), which ensure the connection between the city centre, the Marina area, the Páteo, the Parque de Camping, Montechoro and Santa Eulália, Ferreiras and Albufeira Railway Station.

The Smart City platform allows you to view georeferenced stops, as well as transport schedules.

It is also possible to consult the occupation of several beaches in the municipality, in real time, namely Salgados, Galé-Oeste, Galé-Leste, Peneco, Pescadores, Inatel, Alemães, Forte de São João, Oura and Olhos d'Água, which appear identified on the map according to the typology of the APA – Portuguese Environmental Association: green, yellow or red.

In a first phase, the application was only programmed to manage the management of occurrences, which allows anyone, anywhere in the municipality, to communicate a problem in real time. It's very simple, just register on the platform, which can be downloaded on various mobile devices or accessed through the portal smartcity.cm-albufeira.pt.

Situations related to water supply or ruptures on public roads must continue to be reported via the blue line: 808 202 274 (available 24 hours).
