People who have not received the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine do not need to be scheduled for the second dose. Just go to the respective center at the specific time for this type of vaccination.

According to today's task force which coordinates the vaccination, users who are in this situation, and who have not yet been contacted by the health services, can "proactively go to the same Covid-19 vaccination center (CVC) where they took the first dose" to receive the second takes.

In June, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) decided to reduce the interval for taking the second dose of Astrazeneca vaccine from 12 to eight weeks, in order to guarantee “faster protection” against the transmission of new “variants of concern ” of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

In a statement, the task force advances today, 13 July, which, "in order to speed up the safety of all", comes to "reinforce this orientation" of the DGS and recalled that the timetables of the centers for this specific vaccination can be consulted in this website.

A task force it also recommended that, if the center has a high influx of people, which can be measured through the system of virtual traffic lights, users can choose to be vaccinated during the weekend, a period "during which, as a rule, the time of waiting has been inferior”.
