The Figuras à Rampa concert cycle was rescheduled for the end of July and August, due to the evolution of the pandemic. The five shows by names such as Tiago Bettencourt, The Legendary Tigerman or Capitão Fausto, will take place on the ramp of Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, always on Friday, between the 30th of July and the 27th of August.
Tiago Bettencourt, who, before the change of dates, closed the event, now gives the inaugural concert on July 30th.
«One of the greatest artists that Portugal has seen born in the last two decades, musician, singer and author of several songs that we all know and know how to sing by heart» will take the stage after the Suricata, «the Algarve trio that urgently needs to be discovered and listened to on repeat», highlights Teatro das Figuras.
The following week, on August 6th, The Legendary Tigerman «come to Faro deliver love in rock'n'roll form, promising to reactivate our happiest memories of concerts on summer nights, even with the safety distance that will separate us and the mask that will hide our smiles».
Before, the Algarve band The Mirandas will go on stage in «back to the future mode, with the blues and rock of the 50s, 60s and 70s».
On August 13th, the project takes place Gallop, «one of the most applauded by the music industry in South Music», followed by the band “Variações”, created for the filmic tribute to António Variações, «which makes us dance live and sing some of the most beautiful and timeless songs of Portuguese pop», highlights Teatro das Figuras.
Figuras à Rampa will receive the composer, multi-instrumentalist, interpreter and writer, NEEV, on the 20th of August. The night will start a little earlier with “another rising Algarve talent”: the singer, rapper and composer Infante, who mixes rap and R&B, hip-hop and soul, with his “unmistakable” tone.
To close the event, Capitão Fausto performs on the 27th of August. Tonight will start with the pop, R&B and soul of Catalina, «artist from the Algarve who launched solo after participating in “The Voice Portugal” in 2017 but who was previously part of several musical projects in the region such as “GRYT”, “Epiphany ” and “Gaijas”», adds the organization.
The doors of the event will open at 21:00 pm, with concerts taking place between 21:30 pm and 23:45 pm.
Tickets already purchased remain valid, with no need to exchange. Those who haven't bought it yet, can purchase their tickets in the usual places, with a percentage of the revenue given to the Recreational and Cultural Association of Musicians of Faro.
The shows will be recorded and broadcast at 21:30 pm on Teatro das Figuras' social networks, on the day after their performance.
Figuras à Rampa aims to «respond to the Guaranty Culture Program in a partnership between Metrónomo, Teatro das Figuras and the Municipality of Faro, enriching the theater's programming but also the city's cultural offer, on a path to the return and return to performances».
At the event there will be «a strong investment in consolidated talent and in its combination with the local artists chosen to be part of the programme, selected from the projects participating in the South Music'.
The shows also involve teams, structures, suppliers, companies providing services in the audiovisual field, which in this way have the opportunity to resume operations, promoting a gradual return to work in the sector.
«This project is translated into a collaborative effort with municipal entities, local and national press and contemplates direct support to an essential fabric, also in crisis: restaurants and hotels», concludes Teatro das Figuras.
