The Algarve Jazz Orchestra (OJA) will stage a cycle of concerts at Forte do Beliche, in Sagres, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, on the first four Saturdays of July.

The first three concerts will be broadcast live on Facebook in the municipality and will not be public. The last session of the cycle will have an audience, but will have limited capacity.

In each of the shows of the “Beliche Jazz” cycle, which always start at 18:30 pm, OJA will present a different formation, from a duo to a full orchestra.

«We propose a different evening from Forte do Beliche, in Sagres, with the best Jazz we can offer, in four concerts, in a joint production of the municipality of Vila do Bispo and the Algarve Jazz Orchestra. In the background, we have the usual sunset, with a unique view», according to the Vilabispense Chamber.

On Saturday, the 3rd, the “Early Duo” will take to the stage, formed by Léo Vrillaud (piano) and João Segurado (guitar). For the 10th, a concert by “Trielectric” is scheduled, a formation led by Hugo Alves (trumpet) and that brings together Diogo Vida (organ and electric piano) and Maxi Llanos (drums).

The third concert of the cycle, on the 17th, will be performed by the quartet “Turning Point”, formed by Luís Miguel (Saxophone), Luís Henrique (bass), Maxi Llanos (drums) and Alex Dahmen (piano).

In the last concert, scheduled for the 24th, the public will be able to see the complete lineup of the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve, which will be joined by the voice of Clara Buser, «one of the greatest national talents in Jazz, who has just participated in the CD “ Invites the Ladies”».

In this show, «standards and other themes from the jazz songbook are expected in sublime orchestrations».

Tickets for this session will be on sale between the 12th and 23rd of July, at Ticketline or at the Vila do Bispo Town Hall, in the treasury services, from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am and 15:00 pm.
