Odiáxere playground will have new benches for substitutes

The municipality gave a subsidy to the Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere to finance the investment

The Odiáxere playground, in the municipality of Lagos, will have new benches for substitutes, in an investment of around 7 euros.

The municipality gave a subsidy to the Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere to finance the investment.

«The decision to reinforce the financial support in the current sporting season was taken at the last meeting of the municipal executive of Lacobrigense and is linked to the need to provide the playing field with all the necessary conditions for the Club's certification as a “Training Entity ” by the Portuguese Football Federation”, says the Câmara de Lagos.

According to information from the Football Association of the Algarve (AFA), Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere has meanwhile been certified as a basic training center for the 2021/2022 sporting season.

«This certification will also have included the financial support for the equipping of the spa and the repair of the synthetic turf of the playing field, awarded by the municipality at this time under the Sports Support Program, within the scope of Measure 2 – Support for Modernization and Associative Autonomy», says the municipality.

In football, in addition to Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere, training entities include the Esperança de Lagos Football Club (certified with 3 stars) and Casa Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Lagos (certified as a basic training centre).~
