The Fire Department of Olhão has a new emergency ambulance, "equipped with the latest technology", announced this Wednesday, June 23, the City Council.
The vehicle was acquired following the protocol established between the Municipality and the National Institute of Medical Emergency, representing an investment of around 80 thousand euros.
For António Pina, mayor of Olhão, «this is another important investment in the area of aid, in avant-garde equipment that allows us to better serve the population, while ensuring the protection of our firefighters, at such an important time. to fight the pandemic'.
«Considered one of the most modern and well-equipped in the country, the new ambulance has active and passive safety systems that aim to minimize the possibility of an accident, a SIRESP communication system, among others», says the municipality of Olhano.
The official presentation of the vehicle took place on June 16, as part of the City Day celebrations.
