Osvaldo Gonçalves is the new president of the Odiana association

Re-election of the management bodies took place due to the resignation of Conceição Cabrita from the position of mayor of Vila Real de Santo António and, consequently, from the presidency of Odiana

Osvaldo Gonçalves, mayor of Alcoutim, has been, since the 7th of May, the new president of Odiana – Association for the Local Development of Baixo Guadiana. 

The re-election of the management bodies was due to the resignation of Conceição Cabrita from the position of mayor of Vila Real de Santo António and, consequently, from the presidency of Odiana.

As vice president is Francisco Amaral, mayor of Castro Marim, and Luís Romão, current president of the VRSA Chamber, as treasurer, is also on the board.

José António Teixeira Pinheiro Moreira is chairman of the General Meeting table and Álvaro Filipe Madeira Leal is vice-chairman, with Filomena Sintra assuming the role of secretary.

The Supervisory Board is chaired by José Luís Afonso Domingos. José d´Assunção Pereira Galrito ​​and Vilma Sara Flores Dourado assume the position of 1st and 2nd members, respectively.

Odiana is a non-profit association, working for the economic, social and cultural development of the region and has been developing national and international structuring projects, especially around nature tourism.

The association was founded in December 1998 by the municipalities of Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António.
