Loulé Council wants to create more Citizen Spaces, in the parishes of Almancil and Boliqueime, similarly to what happens in Quarteira, which has been operating since 20 April.

Taking advantage of recent inauguration of the Citizen Space of Quarteira, Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé, announced his intention to expand this concept to other parishes.

Citizen Spaces offer the possibility, for example, of dealing with requests to change the address, the digital mobile key or obtain the land register. The main idea is to bring the State closer to the citizens.

To journalists, the mayor explained that the projects, for Almancil and Boliqueime, "are being thought out, with the work already done, and we are going to move on to an implementation phase."

"Whether or not we will be able to be as fast as here in Quarteira, I don't know, but we are going to make an effort to quickly open other Citizen Spaces," he said.

The objective is, "in the image of what we have here in Quarteira, to bring State services very close to citizens so that they can solve their problems more easily when they need it," he added.

For the city of Loulé, there is also the idea of moving forward with either a Citizen's Desk or even a Citizen's Shop.

«It is something that we are still considering, because there are possible variants here and we have not yet decided what the project will be. It will depend on where the services are physically installed», explained Vítor Aleixo.
