The “Internal Agents” project, by Ana Borralho and João Galante, will make people from Olhao unsuspecting the stars of a show that will take to the stage of the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão, on June 5th, at 18 pm.
The show produced by casaBranca counts on “non-professional participants, aged between 15 and 80 years old, and continues the same research process evident in previous works, in order to bring the artistic space closer to the social space. This new creation is an adaptation of the performance Gatilho da Felicidade, by the same authors», described Câmara de Olhão.
This initiative, the first to take place in Olhão within the scope of the Central Artes, in 2021, will be preceded by a five-day training action, to take place between May 31 and June 4, aimed at the population that will integrate the show.
«In the current moment of crisis and political and financial arrogance that contemporary societies are going through, “Internal Agents” serves to rethink our way of living in society. With a deeper focus on issues of sustainability and climate change, this piece wants to give words to people for reflection and thinking about the transformations that society is experiencing (in a time that imposes real changes)», he added.
This show “will be based on a game of questions, with improvised answers, based on the life experience of each participant. Change the world starting (from my family, my neighbor, my neighborhood, my city, my country, my continent) from my world».
«Since 2002 Ana Borralho and João Galante have worked in partnership in the fields of performance art, dance, theater, installation, photography, sound and video, creating transdisciplinary works that explore hybrid languages and cross different lexicons and practices, from the most asserted to the most marginal. His work is part of an attitude and belief that art should not be alienated from society, its transformations and its problems, but must be active and transformative. An art in direct communication with the spectator», framed the autarchy.
With concept, artistic direction and lighting design by Ana Borralho and João Galante, “Agentes Internos” is a show produced by casaBranca, produced and broadcast by Andrea Sozzi and executive produced by Joana Duarte.
Central Artes, which integrates the municipalities of the Central Algarve – Olhão, Faro, Loulé, Albufeira and Tavira -, results from an application for structural funds of CRESC 2020, a program that aims to promote balanced development, affirming the Algarve as a more competitive, resilient, entrepreneurial and sustainable region, strengthened based on the enhancement of knowledge. Central Artes falls under measure 6.3 – Conservation, Protection, Promotion and Development of Cultural and Natural Heritage – Tourism Promotion and Realization of Cultural Events.
The show, which takes place on June 5, at the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão, will have free admission. Two tickets will be awarded per person, up to the limit of available seats, according to the rules defined by the General Directorate of Health.
