On the 9th of April, starting at 18:30 pm, the Municipality of Silves will present the project to refurbish the Historic Center of São Bartolomeu de Messines, in which it will invest close to 4 million euros.
This presentation will take place at the Hall of the Parish Council of São Bartolomeu de Messines. The session will be broadcast on the municipality's digital channels, with face-to-face participation being subject to pre-registration given the current pandemic situation (282).
«The philosophy of the project and all the planned intervention will be clarified in this public presentation, at the same time as the population's hearing», says the Chamber of Silves.
The investment «covers a vast area of the town of São Bartolomeu de Messines, from the main artery (bypass to Jardim-Escola, Rua João de Deus to Rua Cândido dos Reis, Cemitério Velho) to the North, including the entire Historic Center and involving the complete refurbishment of existing infrastructure”.
The «completion of the execution project with the subsequent opening of the public tender for the execution of the contract will provide a substantial transformation of an important part of the village, while having a strong impact on the improvement of the population's well-being and on the socioeconomic development of the urban center of São Bartolomeu de Messines, making it more appealing and competitive”, concludes the municipality.
