Osvaldo Gonçalves will re-candidate for president of the Alcoutim Chamber by PS, confirmed the Political Committee of the party, which met last Friday, March 12. António Matias will be, for the first time, the head of the socialist list to the Municipal Assembly.
The decision on candidates for municipal bodies in Alcoutim, says the Municipal Political Commission, was taken unanimously.
«The Political Commission considers that the candidates have the right profile to lead the implementation of the council's development strategy, which began in 2013, with the first term of Osvaldo Gonçalves as mayor, based on the territory's potential and focused on improving conditions of life of the alcoutenejos», emphasize the socialists.
The PS also underlines "the importance of unanimity around this election, reflecting the strong conviction that this will be a candidacy that will have a team of competent, hard-working people who are truly committed to continuing to build a better future for the municipality of Alcoutim" .
Osvaldo Gonçalves is one of the mayors in the Algarve who, if he wins the elections, faces his last term.
