ETIC_Algarve achieves Erasmus accreditation until 2027

Achievement "confirms the ability that the school has shown to be a catalyst for change for its trainees"

ETIC_Algarve saw its application for the Erasmus 2021-2027 accreditation being approved. In this way, the school will continue the work carried out since 2015, which has already allowed European mobility for professional internships for around 70 trainees and mobility for reference schools in the creative industries for around 30 trainers and a technical-pedagogical team.

With the participation in the Erasmus+ program in these six years, ETIC_Algarve has been standing out in the region «as a training entity in the creative and technological areas».

The school "assumes itself as an asset to the sector, whether for its trainers who are active professionals in the area they teach, or for the graduates it trains and places in the national and/or international labor market, always raising the importance of a European professional experience and Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility; continuing studies at a higher level for personal and professional growth as well as enhancing the curriculum».

Based on the experience gained and the network of European partner companies and schools established in more than 15 European countries, and which has already earned this school an Erasmus+ Good Practice Award in 2018 for the good execution and implementation of projects, ETIC_Algarve presented a Erasmus Plan based on four principles: inclusion and diversity, digital education, virtual cooperation and active participation in the network of Erasmus organizations.

For Nuno Ribeiro, director of ETIC_Algarve, the most recent achievement «only confirms the capacity that the school has shown, both at the regional, national and European level, to be a catalyst for change for its students, diversifying the opportunities for future career, whether at the level of insertion in the national and European labor market, but also of continuing academic studies at a higher level, whether in Lisbon or in European cities such as Middlesbrough, Prague or Berlin».

«This accreditation provides simplified access to funding and allows international mobilities to be an integral part of school life, which places ETIC_Algarve at a level of excellence and reference, being one of the few Algarve entities to have acquired this accreditation, which gives us credibility and reputation,” says the school.

With the approval of the ERASMUS 2021-2027 accreditation, «ETIC_Algarve foresees that, by 2027, it can reach 200 mobilitys of recent graduates for internships of three to six months in companies in its training area and the mobility of 65 trainers and staff» .

«Continuing the pioneering spirit that moves ETIC_Algarve through “knowing how to do it by practicing”, with the European Mobilities to be developed through this ERASMUS 2021-2027 Accreditation, participants will have the opportunity to improve skills, contact with new working methods, and acquire new (sociocultural) skills that will allow for personal and professional growth, thus contributing to the strengthening of human resources in the region, in the creative industries».
