Algarve Hotel and Tourism School to have a course on luxury tourism

The executive course, which starts in April, will be given at the Hotel and Tourism Schools of the Algarve, Lisbon and Porto

The Algarve Hotel and Tourism School is one of three that will have, as of April, a new executive course in “luxury tourism”.

Training tourism professionals with skills to provide personalized and exclusive experiences, satisfy desires and provide genuine emotions, through an excellent service is the main objective of this new initiative, launched by Turismo de Portugal.

The executive course, which starts in April, will be given at the Hotel and Tourism Schools in the Algarve, Lisbon and Porto.

The initiative «is aimed at professionals in the sector who are working in this segment or others who wish to focus on the very exclusive universe of Luxury Hospitality».

It is, therefore, training with an eye on the needs of the sector, as stated by Paula Vicente, director of the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School.

«The development of the course had the involvement of stakeholders who already work and generate business for this segment, which puts this training in line with the real needs of the sector», he said.

«Prove that Hospitality, Luxury and Comfort can coexist side by side with a more proactive environmental awareness, creating unique, positive and memorable experiences, is the motto for Professionals of the Future to embrace the New Luxury Paradigm», he says, by in turn, Ângela Martins, coordinator of the course at Escola do Algarve.

In a country where tourism is increasingly important in boosting the economy, people and their qualifications are the priorities of the Tourism 2027 strategy.

The course will last 165 hours, divided into 6 mandatory modules and 4 optional modules.

All information about the course is available on the Tourism of Portugal schools website here
