2.7 earthquake recorded at sea near Portimão

Last Saturday, another earthquake was felt in the municipalities of Aljezur, Lagos and Lagoa

An earthquake of magnitude 2.7 (Richter), whose epicenter was located in the sea, about 10 kilometers south/southwest of Portimão, was recorded in the early hours of Monday, February 8, at 4:28 am, at the stations of the Seismic Network of the Continente, informs the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

According to IPMA, until the preparation of its first statement, "no information has been received confirming that this earthquake has been felt."

Last Saturday, an earthquake of magnitude 3 (Richter) was recorded near Vila do Bispo and sense in the municipalities of Aljezur, Lagos and Lagoa.
