Sergio Vieira, former Farense coach who left this week, wished «the best luck in the world» to Jorge Costa, new coach of the Algarve, in a farewell message he published this Friday, February 5, on social networks.

In this publication, Sérgio Vieira, who led Farense back to the 18st League XNUMX years later, begins by expressing his "gratitude to everyone" with whom he had "the pleasure of depriving day after day in this year and a half of work ahead of this history Portuguese football club».

«We arrived, evaluated, planned, organized, united, corrected, fought and conquered the so desired rise to the I League, 18 years later! The first 15 of the 34 games of the I League were not easy moments due to different circumstances, but the true Farenses were certainly with us, always supporting us and convinced that we would reach our goal», says Sérgio Vieira.

The coach also remembers all the players – «fundamental in this club's growth process» - as well as the «technical team, club structure, sporting director Manuel Balela and, recently, our director José Luís».

“Our fans, especially the South Side Boys, were our heart game after game, supporting us in every battle from the first to the last second of the game! Our president João Rodrigues was unsurpassed, supporting us and creating conditions for Farense to reach where it never reached in its history. He is giving his personal life for the SC Farense institution… eternal gratitude towards him», writes Sérgio Vieira.

As for the future, the former coach wishes the «greatest luck in the world» to Jorge Costa «to lead everything and everyone to moments of great happiness and achievement because everyone deserves so much».
