The Rotary Club of Faro organizes this Thursday, January 28th, starting at 21 pm, a videoconference on “The Economic and Social Impact of Covid-30 in Europe, Portugal and the Algarve”.

This videoconference will feature speakers Luís Serra Coelho, president of the Algarve regional delegation of the Portuguese Economists and professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve, who will present data on the declines in the European, national and regional economy and their prospects for recovery, and José Mendes Bota, former European parliamentarian and who until a few weeks ago was a diplomat of the European Union at the Vatican, who will testify to his experience, lived in Rome, during the pandemic crisis that hit Italy in March.

These are joined by Filomena Horta Correia, physician and health delegate from São Brás de Alportel, who will present more concrete data on the epidemiological evolution of this disease in Portugal and the Algarve.
