PO Algarve opens applications for SMEs to promote diversification of their economic activity

Projects must enhance the diversification of the economic and productive base

The CRESC Algarve 2020 Operational Program opened tender No. ALG-27-2020-50, in the thematic domain of Social Inclusion and Employment, aimed at financing applications to the National Production Support Program (Local Base), within the scope of the Incentive System for Entrepreneurship and Employment (SI2E).

The objective of this Program is to create a public policy instrument for direct support to productive business investment, which will aim to stimulate national production, with a special focus on the industrial sector, among other relevant sectors to stimulate national production and the reduction of dependence on the outside world, striving for agility in procedures, efficiency in management and effectiveness in results.

The acquisition of machines, equipment, technological/digital services and quality systems, certification systems that change the production processes of companies, supporting them in the digital transition, in the energy transition, in the introduction of more environmentally friendly production processes that are At the same time, a stimulus to national production, in order to promote an improvement in the productivity of companies in a context of new business models, are eligible investments.

Companies must assume the commitment to maintain jobs, without the requirement to create new jobs.

The projects must enhance the diversification of the economic and productive base, supported by the Regional Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization in the Algarve (RIS3 Algarve).

This notice is intended for micro and small companies of any nature and under any legal form, under the terms of the SI2E regulations, and applications may be submitted until 19 pm on the 26th of February.

The ERDF's indicative budget allocation for this tender is 1,5 million euros, with contribution rates varying between 30 and 60 percent, as defined in the Notice.

Considering the provisions of the SI2E Regulation, the following categories of expenses, incurred after submission of the application, are eligible:

a) Costs of acquisition of machinery, equipment, respective installation and transport;

b) Costs of acquiring computer equipment, including the software necessary for its operation;

c) Standard software or software specifically developed for the company's activity;

d) Design and registration costs associated with the creation of new brands or collections;

e) Initial costs associated with the domiciliation of applications, initial adhesion to electronic platforms, initial subscription of applications in «software as a service» schemes, creation and initial publication of new electronic content, as well as the inclusion or cataloging in directories or search engines. search;

f) Rolling stock directly related to the exercise of the activity, up to the maximum eligible limit of 40 thousand euros.

g) Studies, diagnoses, audits, marketing plans, up to a maximum eligible limit of 5 thousand euros.

h) Technological/digital services, quality systems and certification, up to a maximum eligible limit of 50 thousand euros.

i) Remodeling or adaptation works, for the installation of productive equipment financed under this project, up to a limit of 60% of the total eligible investment calculated, provided that they are contracted to third parties not related to the purchaser beneficiary of the support, not being financed materials of construction purchased autonomously.
