This Friday, 4 December, the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel awarded the “Best Students in the municipality” Awards to the best final year students in the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic and secondary education.
The prizes are awarded, as indicated by the José Belchior Viegas School Group, to the three best final year students in each cycle of education, according to the Value Framework, and to the best three students according to the Excellence Framework, for the 2019 school year /2020.
Maria Carolina Correia and Rodrigo Laranjeira Emídio, from the 6th year, received the Best Finalist Student Award for the 2nd cycle of basic education.
Laura Ferreira Casimiro and Mariana Filipa Soares, students who completed the 9th year of schooling, received the Best Finalist Student Award for the 3rd cycle of basic education.
The Best Finalist Student Award in secondary education was awarded to Daniela Bernardino and Sérgio Rodrigo Luz, at the conclusion of the 12th year of schooling. These two students are already at the University in Medicine and Law, respectively.
The City Council of São Brás emphasizes that the pandemic "did not allow the Municipality to offer and organize the usual cultural trip that is provided to the best students", but that the municipality added a 400 FNAC gift voucher to the usual diploma that marks this stage. euros, "which can be a good help in the acquisition of useful equipment for the continuation of your studies".
The Municipality also awarded this prize to the young Filipe André Guerreiro Cavaco, «who had been awarded the prize for best finalist student in the 3rd cycle, in the last academic year, having been unable to participate in the trip for health reasons».
The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel annually awards the best students in the municipality, «in an initiative that seeks to recognize the effort and academic performance of these students and, above all, encouragement aimed at all students in the municipality, seeking to encourage their study habits ».
