Scouts from the Southern Region raised half a ton of food for the Food Bank

Leaders, young scouts, families and friends participated in the collection.

A total of 556 kilos of food was collected by groups from the South Region, during the campaign promoted by the Southern Regional Head of the Portuguese Scouts Association, promoted between the 5th and 19th of December.

The delivery of more than half a ton of food was made in the warehouses of the Food Bank of Faro and Portimão, this week, and, according to the scouts, “will make Christmas happier for many needy families in the Algarve”.

The Regional Head of the South thanks the active and solidary participation of the leaders, young scouts, families and friends of the Groups: 6 from Olhão, 60 from Vila Real de Santo António, 77 from Faro, 166 from Montenegro, 197 from Quelfes and 238 from Lagoa.
