The Qualifica Center in Lagoa is already in operation, available to adults interested in certifying their skills, at the levels of the 4th, 6th, 9th and 12th years of schooling.
All contacts, information and pre-registration are taking place, in person, in the building of the Traffic School of the Municipality of Lagoa, where the Qualifica Center is provisionally installed, or in one of the two school clusters in the municipality: Grouping Rio Arade Schools (AERA) or Padre António Martins de Oliveira de Lagoa School Grouping (ESPAMOL).

The Municipality of Lagoa, promoter of the Centro Qualifica de Lagoa, joined the Qualifica Program of the National Agency for Qualification and Vocational Education (ANQEP), with the aim of strengthening its intervention in the areas of education and training, promoting acquisition skills and lifelong learning for all.
Thus, together with a network of public, private and social services in the municipality, the Municipality intends to increase the qualification levels of the municipality's population and promote their employability.
«The Qualifica Center in Lagoa is prepared to assist, guide and direct adults towards learning and recognition of skills. Part of the real needs of both the people and the various sectors of the local economy, for school and professional certification, at primary and secondary levels», said Luís Encarnação, mayor of Lagoa.
The new service of the Câmara de Lagoa «is developing a diagnosis that should provide data to adjust the training offer to the needs of the labor market. Adapting the functioning of the Qualifica Center to the needs of its target audience, taking into account the specificities of the region, is among its first objectives», explains the municipality.
Centro Qualifica de Lagoa is co-financed by the European Social Fund as part of the application to the Algarve Operational Program – CRESC Algarve2020.
The objective is the «personal valuation of each individual, offering information, guidance and guidance to those who seek this service». It provides modalities for training and access to the Recognition, Validation and Certification of Skills (RVCC) processes acquired throughout life.
