Construction of the support park for shipowners at the Lagos Fishing Port has already begun

The park will be set up on land inside the Lagos fishing port, with 2.753 square meters

Docapesca has already started the construction of the support park for shipowners at the fishing port of Lagos, in an investment of around 215 euros.

The objective is to «respond to the needs inherent to the operations of collection, repair and conditioning of fishing nets and gear by shipowners and the packing and storage of bait", says Docapesca.

The park will be located on a plot of land inside the fishing port of Lagos, with 2.753 square meters, bordered to the south by the water (port), to the west by the access to the fish market building, to the north and to the east by an access road to the moorings.

It will be organized by zones, with covered spaces, of light construction, with conditions of health and comfort, in order to improve the working conditions and safety of the local fishing community.

The entrance and exit are located on the side of the auction, placing the washing, carport and safe and baits areas near the water, the net area (40 places) in the center and the siege zone (22 places) together the road. The excess space to the north and east will be allocated to the green zone.

This intervention, prepared in articulation with representatives of fishermen and shipowners, «in this way responds to the desire to reorganize this port space», concludes Docapesca.
