Two films by Fellini and three premieres at the Festa do Cinema Italiano in Loulé

Four Italian films are shown in the Algarve

two movies by Federico Fellini, in restored copies, and three premieres of current tapes mark the passage of the Festa do Cinema Italiano in Loulé, from November 13th to 15th, always in the «intimate environment» of the Auditorium of Solar da Música Nova. 

So, on the first day, November 13th, at 21 pm, “the things that make us happy"(gli anni piú belli), by Gabriele Mucino.

On Saturday, the 14th, at 16 pm, it will be time for the premiere, in Algarve lands, of «Sons – Survival Manual for Parents», a comedy from the current year of 2020.

On the same day, but at 21 pm, «La Dolce Vita», 1974, Fellini's most famous film, that of Anita Ekberg's bath in the Trevi Fountain. A 1974 tape, which marks the moment when the director begins to move away from neo-realism.

On the 15th of November, Sunday, at 15 pm, the comedy «Bangla» (2019), a fun and charming first work on integration and identity.

Bangla was voted best Italian comedy of 2019 and best film in the last edition of Festa do Cinema Italiana; Phaim Bhuiyan received the Emerging Director Award at the latest David di Donatello awards from the Italian Academy.

 

To close this short passage of the Festa do Cinema Italiano in Loulé, at 21 pm on the 00th, Solar da Música Nova welcomes you "The road", Fellini's classic made in 1954, with the great Giulietta Masina. "The road/La Strada» won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1957.

The program of Italian cinema in Loulé's lands also includes two cinemas, on Saturday and Sunday, always at 19 pm and with limited capacity. Tickets for the cinematographers, including the film afterwards, cost 00 euros.

The Italian Film Festival takes place in Lisbon (November 4th to 12th, in various locations), Cascais (November 5th and 8th at Cinema da Villa), Porto (5th to 12th, at Cinema Trindade), Setúbal (from 5 to 8 at Cinema Charlot), Alverca do Ribatejo (6 to 7 at Teatro-Estúdio Ildefonso Valério), Penafiel (7 to 8 at Cinemax), Aveiro (10 and 12 at Teatro Aveirense), Beja (from 10th to 12th of November, at Pax Júlia Auditorio Municipal), Coimbra (10th to 12th, at Teatro Académico Gil Vicente), Caldas da Rainha (11th to 13th, at the Centro Cultural e de Congressos), Viseu (from 17th to 20, at the IPDJ Auditorium), Tomar (17 to 21, at Cineteatro Paraíso) Loulé (13 to 15, at the Solar da Música Nova Auditorium), Almada (25 to 29, at the Fernando Lopes-Graça Auditorium) and in Ponta Delgada (between 27 and 29, at Teatro Micaelense).

The Italian Film Festival is the most important event in Portugal dedicated to Italian culture and one of the most appreciated film festivals in the country. It is intended to be a time for meeting and discovering the cultures of two countries that, despite the distance, have many affinities.
