The Câmara de Lagos will rehabilitate and expand the Kennel/Gatil Municipal, announced this Friday, 2 October, the municipality.
Licensed since February 1, 2012, this space currently has the capacity to house 42 dogs and 7 cats.
«The rehabilitation and expansion project, recently awarded and currently under preparation, aims to create another 16 boxes for dogs, allowing the release of some existing cells for the functioning of a cattery», says the municipality.
In practice, "the aim is to increase the capacity of equipment for the temporary accommodation of animals and improve the conditions of the space", he adds.
Alongside this investment, the municipality guarantees that "it remains committed to promoting adoption on a larger scale, more informed, aware and with more socialized animals."
