GNR ends a party of 80 people at the Funcho dam and detains three for trafficking

The event organizers were identified and the facts referred to the Judicial Court of Silves

An illegal party, which gathered around 80 people near the Funcho dam, in the municipality of Silves, was ended this Saturday, 3 October, by the GNR. Authorities also detained three people for drug trafficking.

According to the Guard, there was a complaint "reporting noise coming from an isolated area near the Funcho dam."

Upon arriving at the scene, the military realized that "an illegal party was taking place with the presence of about 80 people" who "were approached and inspected".

The GNR gave the order "to demobilize for non-compliance with the measures in force associated with the Covid-19 pandemic".

The action resulted in the arrest of two men and one woman, aged between 21 and 32, for drug trafficking.

In addition, "six administrative offenses" were prepared for drug use, "resulting in the seizure of a total of 179 doses of hashish, 13 doses of cocaine and seven doses of cannabis."

The organizers of the event were identified and the facts referred to the Judicial Court of Silves.

The operation had the reinforcement of military personnel from the Intervention Detachment of Faro and a drug detection dog.
