The fifth Gala of the Louletano Fadistas takes place this Sunday, October 11th, from 17 pm, at the Cineteatro Louletano.
This initiative «aimed at the enhancement and promotion of the municipality's musical talents linked to this artistic universe», says the Câmara de Loulé.
Despite the pandemic, the Municipality of Loulé justifies that “it did not want to miss this event, which is already part of the Cineteatro's regular schedule, thus stimulating and supporting, in this way, the local artistic milieu”.
Although Loulé is not a land with fado traditions, the county has «good quality performers in this musical universe, such as the already recognized César Matoso or Isa de Brito, who are joined in this show by the names of Marta de Sousa, Vânia Leal, Filipa Nobre and Alexandra Viana».
As this year celebrates the centenary of the birth of Amália Rodrigues (1920-2020), the repertoire to be presented will consist exclusively of themes that marked the path of this unavoidable figure in Portuguese song.
In the musical direction of this show and Portuguese guitar will be also Loulé, Valentim Filipe, on viola Tiago Valentim and on double bass Tó Correia.
The event lasts approximately 90 minutes, is intended for the general public and costs 8 euros, increasing to 6 euros for people over 65 and under 30, with the Friend Card being applicable.

Cineteatro Louletano is a cultural structure in the field of performing arts of the Municipality of Loulé and is part of Rede Azul – Algarve Theater Network and Rede 5 Sentidos.
