Artists of Faro reopen their studios with activities for the whole family

The initiative, with free entry, will last until Sunday, the 18th

The second edition of Open Studios Faro starts next Friday, October 16th, with activities for the whole family in various locations around the city.

The initiative, with free entry and which will last until Sunday, the 18th, proposes a tour of studios and ateliers of local artists, "in a rare opportunity to get to know both their artistic work and the space for creation", says the organization.

With a commitment “in the plurality of artistic expressions, the event has a significant number of new participants and experiences, including a boat-studio in the Ria Formosa and another in the garden of Alameda”.

There are a total of 16 places and 29 artists to meet and enjoy. In parallel, there is also a free program (except for the workshops), which includes exhibitions, conversations with creators, artistic residencies, live music and interactive happenings.

The inauguration of the event will take place on the 16th, at 18:30 pm, at the Quintalão space in Cidade Velha, with the exhibition “Blindfold Sessions – Dialogue at the Infinity”, by Filipe Paixão and Gustavo Jesus. On the 17th, at 10:00 am, the organization will offer a guided tour of the studios, in which the recommendations of the DGS will be respected, including the limited capacity.
