The Municipality of Aljezur unanimously decided, at its most recent meeting, to support three projects by associations and a group of schools, with a global budget of close to 11.300 euros.
The request for support from Grupo Desportivo Odeceixense, for the preparation of a project for the construction of a caravan park, received exceptional support in the amount of €7557,50.
As for the request for support from the Fishermen's Association of Portinho da Arrifana and Costa Vicentina, for the reconstruction of Casa do Guincho, the requested financial support was granted, in the amount of 3010 euros.
In terms of education, support in the amount of 731,8o euros was granted to the Vertical Grouping of Schools of Aljezur, to cover the cost of purchasing a video projector and ceiling support for the equipment.
In a press release, the Municipality of Aljezur emphasizes that «associativism, in the various areas of intervention, sports, cultural, social and economic, presents itself with an important dimension in the life of local communities, asserting itself as a hub of local development, by offering a wide range of activities, or as spaces where habits of participatory citizenship are fostered».
On the other hand, he adds, «the Municipality of Aljezur has, as one of the important lines of action, a coherent, sustained, dynamic and objective support policy for associativism, a policy that results from the careful observation of the reality and awareness of the movements and changes that society registers today, especially with the emergence of the Covid pandemic».
